Originally from Virginia, Leslie spent over 20 years as a professional photographer in San Francisco, where she developed a keen eye for detail, composition, and aesthetic. She operated a seasonal photography studio in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. After meeting her husband in San Francisco, they lived in Byron Bay, Australia before settling in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, where they are raising their family.
She discovered Mahjong in Philadelphia and was immediately hooked after her first lesson. What started as a single lesson quickly turned into a true passion, as well as a wonderful way to connect with others and build lasting friendships - many of which continue around the Mahjong table today.
Leslie’s teaching style is fun, social, and easy to follow. She creates a relaxed, inviting atmosphere where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and enjoying the process. With her natural sense of style and attention to detail, every lesson feels special—whether it’s your first time playing or you’re looking to sharpen your skills.
