    An introductory class to understand the basics of American Mahjong

    This class focuses on the basics of the game and you will learn about the tiles, the NMJL card, how to deal, the Charleston, game play and more

    MAHJ AND MINGLE 102
    For those who understand the 101 basics and are ready to dive deeper into learning Mahj and improve their skills

    During 102 Leslie does a quick review and then dives into game play

    102 focuses on understanding the game mechanics beyond the basics and includes guided play, dealing, the Charleston, identifying lines, defensive discarding, and loads of great tips during game play

    MAHJ AND MINGLE 103
    For those who have completed Mahj and Mingle 101 and 102 and now want to practice their skills and elevate their game

    103 moves beyond basic gameplay to a more strategic and sophisticated approach that includes learning about specific hand combinations, strategic discarding, playing defensively and how to identify and pursue the best winning hand even when faced with challenging situations

  • Leslie recommends that all beginners take two lessons:
    MAHJ AND MINGLE 101 AND 102

    The first lesson focuses on understanding the game and the second lesson focuses on guided play

    Lessons are 2 - 3 hours each

  • There are 4 players to a table in Mahjong

    Leslie teaches up to 5 tables, which is 20 people

  • Leslie creates a pretty, fun, and comfortable setting to learn Mahjong

    Invite your friends and provide light snacks and drinks or if you are serving a full lunch or dinner best to do that before the lesson begins

    Leslie provides all of the gorgeous game play set up including tiles, mats, racks, NMJL playing cards, table linens, follow along instruction booklets, etc

    She’s got it all covered!

    Leslie will bring her folding card and side tables that are perfect for playing the game

    Leslie asks that hosts provides food, drinks and chairs for their guests

  • Lessons are available for 1 or more players
    All bookings are 2 - 3 hours and are subject to a minimum charge equivalent to 4 players

    She also works with private clubs, churches, libraries, community and senior centers teaching Mahj and Mingle lessons to all levels of players
